McCauley and Rick set out to create a tequila that was worthy of their cause. They needed a special producer, one who could make not only great-tasting tequila, but also a tequila that was made using sustainable production practices in line with their conservation mission. They found the perfect partner in Sergio Vivanco, patriarch of the 5th generation Vivanco tequila family, owners of the highly regarded distillery Feliciano Vivanco y Asociados, S.A. de C.V., better known simply as NOM 1414.

It is here, along the rutted country lane to the old homeplace, where we now forge a new road at Log Still Distillery. To christen the journey, allow us to introduce Monk’s Road. Our first offering of Bourbons and Gins that embody a true reflection of our most sacred values: faith, family and community. So, with a respectful nod to the past, we propose a toast — to the road ahead.

After realizing there wasn’t a premium tequila canned cocktail option on the market, the Epic Western Co-Founders began a 2-year process of developing the supply chain in Mexico. The super premium tequila comes from a small distillery (NOM1531) and the certified Mexican Mineral water is drawn from a well on site.
